A basement bulkhead is a common water entry point once the steel doors rust through and the frame pulls away from the foundation. We remove the old unit and install a new bulkhead, doors and foundation-mounted frame, flashed and sealed to the wall so water runs off instead of into the stairwell and basement. Where the masonry stairwell itself has failed, we rebuild it too.
